Marco Carvalho, Ph.D.As Florida Tech's provost and executive vice president, Dr. Marco Carvalho, is chiefly responsible for executing the fulfillment of Florida Tech's academic and research missions, as well as leading its academic administration, institutional research, information technology, student life, enrollment management, and marketing operations. The provost's office establishes policies and procedures concerning academic programs, oversees faculty appointments and promotions, and works to continuously improve the quality of teaching and scholarship at Florida Tech.

Provost's Bio

In addition to serving as Florida Tech's executive vice president and provost, Marco Carvalho, Ph.D., is executive director of the L3Harris Institute for Assured Information and a professor of computer science at the university. Dr. Carvalho holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Tulane University. His current research centers on cyber command and control systems and federated cybersecurity.
